Point of view

Friday's BBQ, when it comes to having food and fun MCT is #1

90 was testing out one of the emergency exits, there were a few flaws.

Hey where did my burger go!

As the new buses come in, we make sure everything works on them
and to see if they are MCT worthy .

90 and 124 test the handicap chair lift.

Look how shiny and clean the engine is. We'll see how long that lasts.

Out With The Old, In With The New and Just Doing What we Do

Bus 10 and Bus 18 were cleaned up, gassed up and then driven away, never to be seen again.

We got two of the eight new buses. Their numbers are 529 and 530.
Let the training/driving begin.

(90) and some other drivers took bus 13 up to the high country on a hot engine run.

and to show off the bus he drives.

BBQ #3

How many bus drivers does it take to move four chairs and a couch?
Obviously quite a few......
(124) doing the overseeing to make sure everything goes according to plan
Here is where the brilliant cogs inside their heads begin to turn

Just Another Day at MCT

This is now a discount tire.
90, 91 and 124 working hard

Look what 98 did.

Look its a billhouette

Trips to Bellemont and back with buses 7, 12 and 13

Rules are rules, even when an NAU employee has their very own bus.
(111) stopped by the bus barn to show us his new ride.
Soon MCT will be trading in bus 11, 18, 10, 16............
Bus 14, bus one
Bus 15, 13 and last but not least bus 2

They served MCT well

24 May 2010

Same fate?

...
After our buses in the graveyard are traded in, will their fate be like the ones picture here?

23 May 2010

The decommissionings

MCT is about to assume the biggest fleet change and growth in its history in June, when eight new buses replace eight others that have gone far beyond their intended lifespans.

Among those being traded out are (from left) Eldorado bus 15, old Thomas bus 13 and SLF bus 2 (the Halloween bus).

So THAT's why the blood ... we should never let 98 and 124 share the same ladder. Here, these guys are removing bus logos and tips of thumbs.

On the other hand, 90 appreciates the peace of being left serenely alone to do his job on the other side of the same bus.

Vinyl striping extended onto the bus roofs, onto which 78 climbed in order to scrape it off.

So long, fleet. We hardly knew ye.

Surveying

First we learned how to survey from the professor of civil engineering.

Let the surveying begin.

It's chow time for the three amigos.

90 looking guilty.
